I have just read that Debih and felt exactly the same although to be honest, I felt like giving up about half way through. Didnt like any of them, apart from Bertie the dog

None of them were particularly likeable were they MM.

I think the thing that annoyed me the most about it was that the kids seem to accept that it was fine for Dad to work long hours and never be at home but because Mum did the same it made them a completely disfunctional family!!

I finished The Women Of Lilac Street, couldn't put it down! I'm now reading Fractured by Dani Atkins.

Oh yes loved Brick Lane although confess don't remember it that clearly now so apparently not unforgettable :D
I have Fractured waiting.
Am still reading The Beach Café but not got far yet.

I have just finished a brilliant library book

The Kitchen House by Kathleen Grissom. Set in the late 1700's to early 1800's in Virginia on a plantation. If you liked The Help or Gone with the Wind, give it a go. Fantastic book, but very sad

I finished Fractured. I almost gave up on it as there were little bits that didn't ring true and jarred with me a bit but I'm glad I stuck with it for the ending.

I'm now reading This Family Life by Jon Rance, it's the third book about the life of a teacher called Harry Spencer, written in the form of his diary. I loved the first two and I'm finding this one difficult to put down as well :)
