Morning all, it's not a bad day here although I haven't been out yet, but it's not raining which is always a good start! Kellie hardly cried during the night, just a bit when we were all going to bed. Miss Osc is suffering the effects of a failed epidural so has a sore neck and headache, she thinks it is marginally improved today and SIL intends she should stay in bed most of the day. The midwife is here at the moment so hopefully she will say all is well, certainly I can see that Miss Osc is much more confident this time around.

Mr. Osc is going to play golf in a while and after my shower, I am going out to do a few bits and pieces, then back to do some ironing this afternoon. Then knitting to finish the little pink cardi I had started, more in hope than expectation   Glad you are feeling better Debih, sounds like a really dose of whatever nasty it was. Have a good day everyone :) :)

Hope Miss Osc gets a good bit of rest Osc, I'm sure ideally you'd all be in your own homes but it's lovely you can be there to help out if needs be x

Back from the dentist, he was lovely. There were options - I hate options! - but we settled on trying a 'patch', ie new composite filling without removing the remaining metal.
Mainly because it's quicker and my back really didn't like lying back on that thing; it bonds to the tooth but not to the metal so is not failsafe but if it comes out within 12 months they replace it anyway.
And I was a brave girl and had it done without an injection, which I hate anyway :)

Good afternoon friends.

It's not very pleasant here, with a fine drizzle. We've been doing the weekly shopping this morning.
It's Indoor pursuits this afternoon.

debih - Sorry to learn you have been poorly. Hope you are feeling better now.

Diflower - Fingers crossed for your dentistry.

Good afternoon all, it's cold and windy here but not as wet as the BBC's online weather forecast promised. Not yet anyway. I've been to the gym, walked into town to do a bit of shopping and then dumped my bag in the kitchen and walked Billy before the rain became too heavy. We didn't have our usual long walk and typically we had the heaviest downpour of the morning just as we were coming back

Just got the hoovering to do and I might give the bathrooms a sparkle if it's too wet to go out later. I could do with baking a cake too.

Have a good day all!

Becky took ours round the block - Pepper would be ok without, but Fraggle is dreadful if he doesn't go out twice a day!

Billy went out this morning but not for long, and he's used to going in the afternoon and after dinner too. He needs dog food this week so might take him to Pets At Home to try and cheer him up :P

Not much rain here at all - it did start to drizzle as I was leaving work but it's still dry, and windy - I think we were the better off re rain this part of the country though (for a change! ;) )

Work is weird....still 'stuff' hanging around....we have a man (!!) starting tomorrow - Colin - so they have taken clinic out so that they can take him round the shops to be introduced to everyone, and train him to our software system. He fills Kath's place, which is brilliant - still all up in the air re the other bit though, and Jan is on holiday so we are, as ever, short staffed. So, as Anne, our other Optom is also off this week I have zero clinic till Thursday! So you'd think I'd be twiddling my thumbs, right? No, not today at least! Busy as can be, tons and tons of admin which has had to take a back seat in recent weeks but still must be done! I quite like being able to order my own day though :D

Tom is also a busy bee - as we speak he has taken Lewis for his swimming lesson and then after dropping him home, has to collect Amy's pup from the farm where she's been staying for the weekend and drop her at Amy's and then come home...so it could be as late as 8.30 by the time he gets back and he's not had any tea :| I haven't gone to swimming this week, for a change, so I might go and pick Lewis up and drop him off, save T a bit of time.

Di glad you have reached a good compromise at the dentist - I hate going there! Best wishes for Miss Osc - hope she recovers quickly x
