An online shop can be a really good idea. Apart from not having to do battle in the supermarkets, if you have realistic list of what you need and stick with that, you'd probably spend a lot less.

We don't get a lot, and I'm good at having an actual plan of what we're going to have each meal (obviously more relevant when other people are coming). I wouldn't want to be having to go shopping on Boxing day, especially if you're getting food ready for visitors as well.
