Well, that's that done for another year ...

... flu jabs! :)

About 60-70 folk queuing outside the surgery for the clinic, but we were batted through within 20 minutes or so.

Plenty of road-rage and handbags in the car-park though with all the comings and goings!

Mrs O has now retired to bed with a hot mugga tea, the biscuit barrel and a good book

Our surgery hold special sessions on Saturdays at the surgery around the corner on our estate (probably because access to it is easier than the one in town, the entrance to that one is adjacent to an exit on a very busy island on the ring road and is an accident waiting to happen).

The boys and I went last month. I couldn't believe how many people were in there this time and it was standing room only. I thought we were going to be there for a while as there must've been 30 people ahead of us in the waiting room and it looked like there was only one nurse on as the same one's name and room number came up twice on the screen, third time it was a different nurse's name followed by ours so we'd only waited a couple of minutes and we were back home within 10 minutes of going out. Those filling the waiting room must've been twirlies ;)

My arm wasn't so sore this year, and my Mom said the same after having her jab two weeks later.

They hold those flu jab surgeries on Saturdays here too - I know as D always goes. I suppose I should really, that last bout of flu I had in Spring last year was horrible :?

I need to book to go and get mine done - I will do it later today.

They do hold two Saturday morning clinics but I can never be bothered to go along and wait! I'd rather wait until after the clinics when you are allowed to ring up for an appointment.

Just the elderly and those with certain health conditions - asthma, heart probs, immune system issues. They get one free at the doctor's but anyone can have one if they pay - supermarket pharmacies do them every winter :)
