how horrendous - that would also explain the very acrid burning smell on the train in this this morning, and the sirens blaring along the Embankment. :( :( :(

Oh Ria, yes it would! I thought of you, and my niece and BIL who both work up in London but I don't think it is anywhere near them..............Mick gets off at that station, at about that time, when he goes to BT meetings up in town.

Apparently some cars were hit, one totally incinerated according to an eye witness. How absolutely horrific :(

It seems a helicopter hit a crane, which then came down onto the road, and the road burst in flames :(

2 killed and 2 injured according to the Daily Mail (which means the figure will probably be quite inaccurate!)

horrendous :(

Good news there, Lissie.

I have just been reading about it on the web. Helicopters, mist and tall buildings do not mix. Tragic.

A dreadful thing to happen. I hate so many helicopters flying over me particularly unnecessary ones like the police using one at vast cost to chase a shoplifter. I see one stupid witness said the pilot MAY not have seen the crane, of course he did not see it or he would not have flown into it. :(

Two dead and nine injured, one critical is the latest :( I have texted my BIL to make sure he is ok, no reply yet but I expect he is very busy, being involved with directing the underground on a fairly high level, as there is bound to be some disruption - so I won't worry just yet :?
