My heart breaks for a friend of mine

she and her husband were out last week walking their two dogs when one suddenly let out a yelp started gagging and just became really unwell. They rushed him to the vet where they suspected an adder bite but subsequent blood results have ruled that out. They now suspect that he may have been poisoned by whatever it is someone is putting down to kill squirrels in the area. Sadly H (the dog) just isn't getting better and his organs are now failing and he's getting worse every day so my friend and her family have made the incredibly heart breaking decision to let him go peacefully tomorrow.

This particular friend herself is really not well yet spends so much of her time involved in animal rescue; she's set up her own website and thanks to her so many dogs and cats (and other pets) have been given a 2nd chance in a loving forever home.

Oh Ria, that is just awful Your poor friend must be heart broken. It is terrible when our furry family members die, but usually we are prepared. To have this to happen, due to someone's recklessness is just so sad.
