Good morning friends.

Where are you all? Iv'e been a walk with is Prince and had my breakfast already.

It's quite cool out there, but dry, and the sun is trying hard to shine.

Not much planned for today - we are having our new cooker fitted this morning.

Hope you are all well.

Good morning Aggers :) I am here but have just been doing a bit of behind the scenes tidying up ;) It looks like sunny day here too, chilly but bright so very pleasant :)

I have plans! :D My very nice neighbour has given up work and whilst chatting the other day she asked if I fancied a walk into town some time for a cuppa and a chat :) So that's later this morning :) I am looking forward to it, and to making a new friend - I have always got on with her in passing, but she's been a busy lady up until now with no time for socialising during the week ;) We are roughly the same age too :)

Before then I have a little ironing to do  I could also do with getting my warmer clothes out of the vac bags and starting to wash and iron them. That reminds me, I found a sweater in the garden the other day, it belongs to the tree surgeon guy who comes to cut our trees but he hasn't been back for it yet. It is a rather nice Kangol one in merino wool so I must see if we have a card and phone number for him somewhere!

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Good morning all, have a nice day though a bit cold here. Fair drive back from North Wales yesterday eve, lots of road blockages on the radio but mostly cleared by the time I got there. Now back to my problems, a water leak in the bathroom I cannot find and the temporary elec supply to the water heater which I fixed when the permanent one failed has also gone. :(

Morning all. Sunny but chilly here this morning.

Work for me today - which mainly comprises of walking around Bakewell with one of my colleagues putting together a treasure hunt for our company away day. We will of course have to try the pub lunch out too.

I'm off to the cinema tonight to see Before I Go to Sleep. I was supposed to be going with Mick but he isn't sure if he will be home so I might end up going on my own, unless I can persuade a friend to come with me.

I have to ring school this morning. They are useless sometimes! S is off on a drama trip in a few weeks to see Blood Brothers at Birmingham and we have to pay for it by Friday to secure her place. They encourage us to pay on a special online system - I've been trying to pay for a week now but it still hasn't appeared so I cant! Also, as she is doing GCSE Dance they encourage them to go to the special GCSE after school dance club. Not a problem. Except they are on a split site school - she is (as are the rest of the GCSE students) at the upper site finishing school at 3.30pm and the GCSE dance club is at lower site (4 miles away) starting at 3.30pm. Not quite sure how they work that one out!!!!

Morning all - usual work day for me. Rather nippy this morning - 5 degrees only according to the car thermometer; brrrr ;) but a lovely sunny start to the morning; I love this time of year

Kaz, enjoy the walk into town and natter with the neighbour. It's nice to have a friend close by - I miss that where I live now. There isn't anyone to just pop around to for a quick cuppa.

Debih, good luck with sorting out the payment and dance thing. 4 miles in 0 seconds is quite an impressive feat the school is expecting :? :?

Ped, I hope you get your water and electricity supply problem sorted - do you have someone coming out to fix it today?

Aggers, hope the fitters turn up in time - enjoy the new cooker.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all :D

Operation clean up today, well the bits we can reach at least. The refuse men have just been and collected an old fridge and freezer we had in the garage, not sure why we kept them really, they've never been used here. We've got a couple more trips to the tip planned too. Just last minute stuff to do now, things we're still using like this computer, the tv oh and of course the food etc. Need to keep tomorrow free to visit mother.

Hope you all have a good day :D

We had a light frost the other night, the flip side of the high pressure/sunny days I suppose ;) Have a good day at work Ria ((x))

Jen loads of luck with it all! (((((x))))

Hope you get your water fixed Pederito :(

Ton, people watching in the sun sounds fun :) :) 8-)

Thanks Ria and Kaz, I like to fix things myself as I know the layout etc. The water supply to the bidet has been rather a long standing problem ever since the original flexibles gave up.

Morning all :)
Very chilly early here, and no sun as yet either, bit of a cheek :P

That sounds nice Kaz, hope you both enjoy it :)
Debih that's crazy, give them a talking to!
Hope you get your electrics, water and cooker fixed Ped and Aggers :)
Jen good luck, keep plugging along x
Lol yes Ton as Kaz said it's the price we're paying for some lovely weather, it is a bit early for it to be quite so nippy!

A few odds and ends for me today, and a walk up into the village to collect a prescription and maybe a bit of shopping. Also there's a charity shop up there, it's only open in the mornings and is one of those that's tiny and completely jam-packed with stuff, you never know what you're going to come across :D
They have a weird pricing system of coloured stickers and there's one lady in there who always looks at me as if I'm a complete idiot when I can't remember how to work it out :D Usually at least one other customer will join in and say 'well I don't understand it either, why can't you just price things?'!
Have a good day all
