Morning all :D

Good luck with the new job Ally :D

I love to hear about holibobs, do tell us where you're hoping to go Di.

Good luck at WW Kaz.

More packing for us, today it's the kitchen. Managed to get most of the study done yesterday, just kept out the stuff I'm still using. Also did masses of washing, all the extra bedding, mattress and pillow protectors etc.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good luck with all the packing Jen :)

Good luck Ally, you'll be fine once you get there and get started (((x)))

Not telling until it's a bit firmer. We did hope to go back to Portugal in October but a) each time I've checked it was going to cost about the same for a week then as we paid for a fortnight in May, and b) as Ton's been saying, the weather's a bit iffy this year.
So we're leaving it another month and hoping to go somewhere which should still be warm and dry ;)

Morning all - it was rather nippy this morning; the heating came on

Usual work day for me - I really really do need to win that lottery, sigh. I could so easily have stayed at home again today ;)

Good luck to everyone that needs it and have a lovely day all

Has anyone seen my marbles? I was absolutely sure I had posted on here earlier, must have got distracted :?

Beautiful day here, although chilly early. We left Michael to school as Miss Osc was getting her hair done early, then after breakfast, Mr. Osc went to play golf and I went to where we have our stuff stored to sort out a few bits and pieces to bring back here. Then back here to pack them away. Also phoned Sky about our package - we reduced it to the basic for three months before we realised that our Sky box works fine off SIL's dish, so we wanted to restore our package. That was worth it - half price sports and movies for three months, half price HD for the next year and free MUTV for two months for himself :o :D :D Also when we finally move, we get a free house move when the engineer comes out to fix us up at the new address and hopefully a new box too, all of this without asking :D :D

Miss Osc has booked for us both to have a pedicure on Thursday as my birthday treat - really looking forward to a pure indulgent relaxing treat. Oh and guess what...........closing delayed AGAIN     The purchaser is ill apparently, and has to be there to sign the mortgage deed.......supposed to be tomorrow, but I won't hold my breath

Afternoon all! It's sunny but a bit cooler here today, suits me perfectly!
I went to the gym this morning and afterwards walked into town to pay in the insurance cheque from Petplan from Billy's injury a few weeks ago, very impressed again with how quickly they've paid out. After getting home I then had a lovely long walk over the common and through the woods with Billy.

Hopefully the washing is drying nicely now so I'm just off out with Billy again and then I'll iron it when I get home.

I've also booked train tickets for Joe and myself to have a day in London on Nov 1st. Great price on the tickets - £38 return and that includes day travelcards for zones 1-6. So far we're planning on going on the cable cars over the river at Greenwich, probably heading back down by boat from the O2 and getting off at the Tower to see the poppies before walking over the bridge and heading to the Shard. Not sure I fancy it much as I don't really like heights and it's a bit too 'glass-y' and fragile looking for me but Joe wants to see what all the fuss is about.

Osc - again? Glad things worked out with Sky though. We found them to be absolutely brilliant when we moved, and again when we were trying to switch broadband providers last December.

Kaz, very well done!!

Have a good day all!

I'm so looking forward to seeing them Kaz, I very much doubt that the photos in the media do them - and the impact that they make - justice....
