back from 3 weeks in Uk and my avg is saying -malware is off _ ??? not by me.

any ideas anyone ,

I do not use AVG, so this is only a guess Vic.

It could be that lack of use has missed regular updates and AVG as assumed it is no longer required. I would manually turn it back on and do a manual update to reset everything, then do a full scan and see how things go.
