And the sad thing is when the ink cartridge runs out, chances are it won't be that much more to simply get a new printer vs the ink cartridge; they are just so darn expensive sometimes

But how nice of the guy in the shop re the cable ;)

I was in PC Wait, nosing about, when I saw an assistant doing a scan demo for a customer. The stuff to scan went in the feeder and pffft! there was the scan, done, is an instant - page after different page - two side scans as well! Not a pro machine, a home version.

I remember the days of putting the paper in the scanner one sheet at a time, watching the light beam move down the page, watching it go back, then waiting to see if the output would be up to scratch before moving on the other side or the next page.

Born too early, me!

Molly put this link up a while back http://www.cartridgepeople.com I ordered a double full set (8cart 2xea colour) for my Brother DCP Inkjet/scanner and they were fine at only about £12 the lot.

I tend to use a cartridge and when empty refill it once only before slinging it. Refill inks from Wilko are for pennies.
