There is a child

Postby Kaz » 16 Sep 2014, 08:50

screaming "Mummy, mummyyyyyyyy!" almost non stop over the back here, almost certainly from the infant school there. Quite honestly the school should be ashamed IMO to allow this, if the child is so distraught to scream non stop for that amount of time (over half an hour) they should call his/her mum to come in - if mum is at work and can't, surely someone could comfort the child! 4 years old is awfully young to start school, especially for the summer babies :(

I was finding it quite upsetting whilst pegging out my washing...................... :(

Poor little thing.

Half an hour is a long time to let him/her keep shouting without doing something about it.

However, I suppose the child has to be at school (which I completely disagree with at that age. I personally don't think they should start until they are 6 or 7) and if they "give in" and ring mum on this occasion it could become a daily thing for the child. Shout loud enough and they will give in to what I want.

Very sad for the poor little mite though.

He probably just needs a cuddle and distracting, but are teachers allowed to cuddle children any more? :(

That's what I was thinking Loz, are they allowed to touch children any more? :? :( It comes to something when PC means you can't cuddle a 4 year who is distraught :?

It stopped just after I posted thankfully, but if it happens again I might just call them, make them aware that people do notice!! :(
