Good morning Monday

Morning all.

I've just put the slow cooker on for soup for lunch. Work til 12 then home to make plum jam and read adoption papers.

It's my mums 70th birthday today and we are off out for a meal tonight - me, the girls, mum and dad and my inlaws. Not Mick as he is working in Liverpool overnight (he could have done the job in a day but I told him to stretch it out and stay over as he can then meet up with one of his Antarctic buddies who lives there).

Just back from my morning walk with Prince. It's dull and cool out there, but I enjoyed exercise.
We shall be off for the weekly shop this morning - then I don't know what.

Sunny and hot here..temp to be 30 degrees so that will please mum and dad as they are coming over today!!!

Morning everyone. Bit of a sad start to my week, my Uncle passed away last night, my dad's brother, the one I posted about on the Families board, my cousin just messaged me about it, it was very peaceful.

Debih I hope your mum has a lovely birthday, 70 is a special one xxx

It's very grey and murky today. It's my first full day back to work but I have no clinic and lots of admin to catch up on so I am ok with that...I have to nip round to the surgery for a blood test (boss knows) at 9.30 though. Worried about Tom doing all this extra work, he's absolutely shattered and driving all day in this misty murky greyness is very hard on the eyes. I just wish Steve was back (the guy he's covering for) and things were back to normal - when he's tired, he gets a bit snippy

On the subject of weather, it's lovely here, clear blue sky and sunshine - and we're going to get more of it and hot again, up to 25c forecast by Wednesday!
Good news is that Bb met his boys for dinner last night, thank goodness; eldest is coming here on Wednesday, and at the moment youngest for the weekend, but we'll wait and see on that one...

Usual Mondayish stuff for me.
