Tom's been home for 5 minutes and I can feel my blood starting to boil and my stress levels rising.
I bought a few birthday cards for upcoming birthdays - if I see something suitable for someone I buy it in advance - and he's been told before not to take any of them because I'll come to write on whichever card for whoever and find it's not there, something which has happened in the past when he's gone into the drawer and helped himself if a school friend has a birthday.
This afternoon I needed one of the cards for a birthday next week. The card's still there but there's no flippin' envelope. I've just asked him about it and for once he admitted taking it, he didn't try and lie his way out of it, and had taken then envelope because he needed one
There are white and brown envelopes of various sizes in the same drawer but no, he had to take the one which was wrapped around the now useless birthday card

It looks a bit cheap to put it into one of the office-type envelopes, and it's not a perfect fit for any of them anyway.
