My two are hoping for a snow day tomorrow but like where Kaz is, heavy rain is forecast for overnight which should wash it all away.

Here in Leeds it's falling fairly steadily now and settling on the roads as well as cars.

In Northants it was forecast for tomorrow but now seems to be Tuesday, lets be honest they don't know. The best bet is get out of bed in the morning and have a look out the window. You won't get paid as much as they do, but you will be more accurate

I take a radio in the bathroom while I'm getting ready in a morning and listen to the local BBC station, when I go downstairs John will be watching BBC News in the kitchen - you can bet that most of the times the weather forecast on the local BBC News is different to that on the radio, yet they both broadcast from the same building

My two are very disappointed this morning as although a little more fell during the night the roads are clear so school is on.

More is forecast during the day.

I felt very important this morning as I had a text from the head (of L's primary school) asking me what time I am up and about in a morning as if she wants to close the school because of snow, I (as Chair of Governors) have to give my authority before she can do it. Oh the power. :D :D

  Oh Debih, that power must be worth at least a cuppa in bed from your girls, if not a full blown English ;)

No snow here, not even a first although it is pretty cold. No doubt the rain wll arrive soon, it usually does  ;) ;)

I would make a hopeless Chair of Governors then, as nothing infuriates me more than snow days. Every one else has to get to work, why can't teachers? I appreciate Deb in your neck of the woods it is a bit different but not town schools.
