No Hope Service

Postby cruiser2 » 20 Aug 2014, 17:53

A friend has just been admitted to hospital. He was having difficulty breathing. His wife called the ambulance.
The medical staff came to give him treatment and said he had had antibiotics when he was in the same hospital earlier this year. This was one of three entries on his file relating to another patient.
So he has had to have the x-rays and other tests done again so that he can get the correct treatment. He still doesn't know what is wrong.
May go and see him tomorrow. His wife will phone us this evening after she has been.

Jeez Cruiser, that's appalling.

I know people can have the same name and even the same DoB, but address and NI and phone numbers!

I do hope that they can sort him out.

The last time I was in a posh London Hospital I made a point of looking at my record much to their chagrin. One day I saw that my bp, temp, pulse and O2 had been recorded for that day but it had not been taken. I interviewed the nurse concerned who was very abashed and asked me not to report it. I presume it must have been that of someone else!
