Figs: pick 'em just before they are ripe, wash the bloom off and leave on a sunny windowsill till they go all soft and squidgy. Place in the centre of a bowl of Ambriosia rice pud and dive in.

Melons: Using a cartridge refill syringe inject with *pick your favourite alcohol* and leave for a few days then eat on the veranda while watching the sun go down.

I'm off booze at the mo WM :shock: :shock: and all we have is beer or wine - oh no, we have some port :lol: :lol:

Actually managed to find some creme fraiche :o :shock: this morning and also bought some of our local fresh cheese and a pastry base (I can't make pastry :oops: but my bread is lovely :roll: :lol: ) so we'll have fig flan tonight.
