It's done

We exchanged on our house around 12.30. On the one hand I'm relieved it's done, on the other it would be nice to know exactly where we'll be living from 26 September. It's a shame as we'd always planned to open a bottle of bubbly to celebrate, but neither of us are quite in the mood just yet.

I've spoken to the Kent agent who will be letting our sellers know what's happened today, will be interesting to hear how they react. I'll also be drafting an e-mail to our solicitor giving them our final deadline for exchange, afraid they will either have to take it or leave it, we're not in a position to give any leeway now.
