Lovely here but still a bit chilly.

A whizzy morning for me, one of my cousins is coming with her daughter, en route to their holiday. They can't check in till after 3, so they're stopping off here for lunch.
Really looking forward to it, she's really my second cousin - Mum was the youngest by a few years, so I'm a sort of in-between generation I haven't seen her for years but thanks to fb lots more of us are in touch than used to be

Just watched one of our holiday families head off down to the beach - all of them carrying back packs, umbrellas, mats and heaven knows what else

Sunny here, but it's definitely getting cooler There's washing to be done from the weekend so I'm about to get on with that. B has a dental appointment as the cap she had on her tooth came out I might go to Cheltenham with her, for the mooch, but am actually quite tired so will see how I feel

Di that will be lovely, I also have more contact now with some cousins than I did before Facebook Like you I fall between generations as well, although I am the oldest

Ton you should see us at the beach - beach tents, roll up mats, kites, bags, dogs, you name it

Meanwhile I have train tickets to book!

It was gorgeous there Saundra, a fabulous view everywhere we went and the weather was great I forgot to say, they showed us the house that was on Youtube, the one where they took film of the waves coming right up over the house in the bad weather this year!!! It was hard to imagine on such a nice day

Morning all

Well I'm sitting here on tenterhooks waiting for a call back from our solicitor regarding the proposed exchange today. We did manage to negotiate an extra week so should be completing on 26 September. Much as we're annoyed at being pushed into this position we now just want to get it done, at least it will be one hurdle cleared and of course it would be nice to relax rather than be living in a show house as we are at present.

All being well, lots of phone calls to make today, removal firms, the agent in Kent and so on.
