Thank you all so much for the greetings - I had an absolute blast of a birthday.

Being in Riviera del Sol was wonderful - laughs galore, lots of good food and plenty booze.

On the Friday evening Toni, Pete, Pierce (their 12 year old son who is an absolute delight of a child) Don and myself had gone for a walk along the beach and then for an Indian meal.

We then found a Moroccan bazaar and had a lovely stroll through that - buying a few things along the way.

We went back to the apartment but Pierce and I decided we'd like a dip in the pool.

So at dead on midnight there we were - sharing a lilo in the water, gazing up at the stars as Pierce sang Colours of the Wind to me

We have a very special bond that boy and I - forever I will cherish those lovely moments in the pool.

We came home yesterday and I had a pile of cards and presents waiting for me - flowers, perfume, earrings, a lovely bracelet from my boss (how kind of her) Don bought me shoes, clothes and lots of little things that he'd put in a wicker basket for me.

The 4 of us went out for a few beers and a bite to eat - they then went off to the feria; Don and I strolled home (we'll do the feria Friday ) and had a couple of glasses of champers on the terrace.

Suffice to say I had a magical birthday filled with much love and happiness.
