I just ignore predictive text and its b'stard offspring bar on my Xperia and let the recipient work out what I am saying. ;) :D

This is the same as the Samsung. Offered in a window over the top of the virtual keyboard. Sometimes it's faster to type.

I am puzzled by this as it recognises words you use a lot and then you don't have to type them out fully.... :?

Some light dawns.

Why provide predictive text when you can "correct" what the people incorrectly typed. How totally Apple, we know best and are working in your best interests. Lie back and let us take you to our version of the world. Except, if your "autocorrect" engine is only 50% correct, like the predictive text engines, it's going to be the most annoying thing on the planet.

I'm sure that most people just adjust what they type to what Apple predicts.

How Sad.....

And look. This person thinks that spending loads of time _correcting_ "Autobreak" is by far the best way to go. I have a different view. Get a different phone that works properly. Just like people started to do when Apple decided that they were better at maps than Google. That drop in sales of iPhones cased an immediate change in direction for Apple.

Android phones are already more than 80% of the smartphone marketplace and more than 50% of the phone market overall. Apple only has >50% of the smartphone market in One country. The US. For me this is not hard to work out. Too expensive, too limited, too restrictive, too proprietary and most of the market doesn't care how "sexy" it looks so long as it's more functional.

Amazing thing choice. People get to choose. And they do. I read that the Apple tablet market is shrinking and that Android is taking over. My surprise is underwhelming. I mist admit I wonder how many times Apple can make the same mistake and keep on going? I know, I know they're huge, they have new things like the iWatch coming out, theyre cool.... So was Nokia!
