I've done a quick run and am now on the terrace enjoying a coffee.

Work this morning then back for my daily sploosh in the pool.

Starting to feel a bit autumnal in the mornings here - I hope we get a decent weekend, we are going down to Weymouth on Friday to stay with M's brother and they are planning a big BBQ and lots of coastal walks

H's last day here, and as it's Wednesday (freebie ticket with Orange) I think I'll see if he fancies the cinema at all, if there's anything he wants to see, otherwise it will be a quiet day I reckon.

I just heard on the news that Lauren Bacall has died, she was 89 mind you, but one of the last great Hollywood legends so that's rather sad.....

Not any plans for today, except that I want to compile my programme for my next
Golden Oldies Music Night. I started it last night but my laptop mal-functioned, and
I finished up with a blank CD,

Morning all.

The sun is out - we are heading to the beach later. Not doubt the stalker family will be there as we saw them at the donkey derby last night and Mick took great delight in telling them that's what we (me and the girls) were doing. I could kill him.

I will be reading my book and will disappear into the sea if it gets too much (yes folks, today I intend to don my swimsuit. Listen out for sightings of a beached whale on the Cornish coast).

Just had a lovely sunny but cool walk with Billy. So glad the weather's cooled down for our walks.

Happy happy happy today because I've just got two tickets to see Kaiser Chiefs at Wolverhampton Civic next February. One of my favourite bands and it looked like they were bypassing the Midlands on their tour but dates were announced yesterday and they've held a fan presale this morning. Being old I fancied sitting in the balcony but couldn't get a decent enough seat so standing it is

Going to run the hoover around shortly, the washing machine's on too so I'm waiting to hang that out. There wasn't much that needed washing but I thought I'd get it done seeing as the campers are back this afternoon and will no doubt fill the washing basket a few times over Might make them a cake.

Oh heck...forgot my bit of news. Maybe I'm in denial?

MIL is coming to stay on Sunday, and not just passing through this time. She's staying until Wednesday Why can't she come over the weekend while John's here?

Just carry on your normal routine but make sure the dog walks, gym visits and shopping trips are much much longer.

Do you think she will go visiting friends or will she expect you to entertain her?

I'm hoping she'll be out seeing people during the day. And she wants to take Joe back with her when she goes on Wednesday, John will then have to drive down and pick him up on the Saturday or Sunday, Joe's pretty keen to go to see his cousins but I don't think it's sunk in with him that even the youngest, he's 17, is working now so won't be around to hang out with.
