Good morning all. It's cool and breezy here, so was lovely for walking earlier on. It was sunny then but now I'm home and just waiting on the second load of washing, the sky has started to cloud over with some rather grey clouds on the horizon! Glad it's not just me who's noticed an Autumnal feel to the mornings.

I have no plans for today apart from getting this washing dried. I'm just catching up on some TV on iPlayer. I must say that I'm loving having the hosue to myself - Sunday to Wednesday seemed like a long time but it's flying by! I've watched more TV than I've watched in years

Have a good day all!

It's nice for a change isn't it Jo :)
Saundra good result, I'm sure he'll be just as happy and easier for you :)

I gave up and came home
It's a turn up and take a ticket system; I got there at 10.25 and the next no. showing to go in was 43.
Took my ticket - no.79 :o
Thought I'd best wait a while and see how they were doing (or if the m/c skipped 10 nos at a time!) but after 25 mins it was still only up to 55, so I gave my ticket to the little old lady who'd sat next to me ;)

I'll go nice and early tomorrow...

Oh blimey Di! That sounds quite a wait! Fingers crossed tomorrow will be easier.

John was impressed with Stafford hospital last week. Tom had his first appointment with the haematology consultant now that he's getting too old for paediatrics. First off, he was only referred to see him at the end of May and his secretary called a week later to set up an appointment which had to be delayed until he could go in the school holidays. Anyway, the letter she sent said to expect to be at the hospital for up to three hours so John had a grump about that.
Tom's appointment was at 10.15am. They were home at 11.25. In that time he had bloods taken and sent for testing, the consultant got the results and they spent half an hour discussing the condition, what the results showed and discussed medical history for a new set of notes for that department with one doctor and then the main consultant came in and talked some more.
