Morning all

Wet and miserable here at the moment Up extra early as I have to go across town to drop my car off at the garage and collect the courtesy car. Apparently their drivers are fully booked so couldn't bring it to me, bit annoying but not complaining too hard, just grateful to be getting a car I can safely use for the rest of the week. Popping back here to get packed, hoping to be on the road by 11.30ish.

Heard from our solicitor yesterday, the buyers are asking for an exchange this Friday which is definitely not doable Providing we're happy with what the builder says tomorrow we'll be ready next week, but actually it all depends on our sellers. The searches (no major issues) came back at the end of last week and our solicitor immediately pinged off an enquiry regarding the private road. The couple who own the bungalow ticked the box on the sellers form to say there's no joint maintenance liability, but of course we need that in writing. Oh well it's completely out of our hands now, there's nothing more we can do except wait and keep our fingers crossed and hope our buyers will be reasonable.

I got up to bright sunshine and as I opened the back door it rained really hard, seemingly from nowhere! It lasted 2 minutes and now there's not a cloud in the sky; still windy, so it could change any time.
Cooler last night too, which was quite nice - I actually put a thin blanket on top of our duvet cover, which is all we've had on the bed, but took it off again as soon as I climbed in

Jen that's sounding promising, 'things' are happening now anyway

I have to have a blood test one day this week so might go this morning, then if they can't get any there are a few days to try again

It's very changeable here, lots of rain and wind about so no washing for me We were woken at about 6.30 by Fraggle wanting to play Think he's missing Becks, Mick took them both for a long walk, hopefully he'll calm down a bit

Morning all. Sunny here after a huge downpour last night. Showers forecast for today (though that was the forecast for yesterday and we still spent the afternoon on the beach).

Were off to Newquay today and then lunch at The Beach Hut at Watergate Bay.

There's a donkey derby in the next village tonight so we are going there if it's dry.

Can you check on my polytunnel as you drive through Matlock Bath please Dyno. Make sure it's not blown away.

A rather autumnal feel to the mornings at the moment - not sure I'm ready for summer to be over. No rain for us this morning but we had a good - albeit very short - downpour yesterday. And the wind is - I don't like wind
