And now for a slightly different view

Postby Suff » 06 Aug 2014, 21:55

In my usual perusal of the news I came across this article.

It is always important, during times of stress or abhoration, to avoid being used. I find that being used is an insidious thing and the people who use you are quite subtle about it and then you are trapped. The only way to get out of it is to recognise what is happening and not be sucked in from the beginning.

I've had this at work recently where someone was trying to use me. My radar is getting better. I managed to step out after only one round....

This is particularly poignant for me who's grandfather was given the directorship of a private company, by a Jewish family, for the reason that Hitler had murdered all other members of the family. He was given the directorship of the company and asked to run the company until all the current employees had retired. His integrity was such that he did exactly what was asked of him, rather than try to make large sums of money by merging with another company. When all the employees had left he facilitated a merger with Johnson and Johnson and retired.

In the Article it talks about people chanting and writing that Hitler was right. Was he? He murdered 3 Million Polish Catholics and hundreds of thousands of gipsies. There are those in this world who will say that was the right way to go. Not anyone who is welcome in my home though....

When all is said and done in the current Israel Gaza conflict, there will, eventually, in small print and hidden away from sight, be a lot written about the duty of care Hamas had for their people and the duty of government to ensure that this kind of conflict should never have happened. A duty which they, quite deliberately, failed miserably in.

Have a care who is using you.

There is a difference between "perceived" and "actual" fears, whatever the situation.

The current question about anti-Semitism comes at a time of conflict between Jews (Israel) and Palestinians. The media has tended to be pro Gaza and anti Israel, so it is no wonder that there is a feeling that a rise in anti-Semitism exists.

However, has that translated in a dramatic rise in violent acts against Jews, as some headlines seem to suggest? This article, although from 2012 suggests not, well not in the 'running rampant' ways Haaretz wants us to believe.

It is interesting that Germany, The Netherlands, Norway and the UK are the least anti-Semitic countries, where Hungary, Italy, Poland and Spain are the worst.

The rise of FN in France has led to a significant rise in anti Semitism. Also ably assisted by the Moslem community who would love to have someone else take the spotlight off them.

Again, as ever, the Jews make a wonderful scapegoat. Never mind that they live so quietly in your society that you don't notice them. Never mind that they never make a noise, never cause problems. They are just there. Unlike other sects in our community. When did you last hear of the Jews deciding that their local areas should be ruled under Jewish laws?

Yet we hear zip about the fact that Hamas has started hostilities against Israel as fast as it possibly could. Regardless of the pain and suffering of it's people. Let's face it there is nothing, not one single thing, that Hamas can gain from this. But the Jews are wrong again. Despise the Jews.

Honestly it disgusts me the way the press twist this. If they were Honest and open, the UN would have entered all Palestinian territories, removed Hamas from power and taken over government until enough children grew up on peace and prosperity and enough real police existed, to ensure that any Hamas who tried terrorism would be arrested, brought to trial and, at worst, sentenced to life in prison and at best executed.

Until then, the western world will descend into a new spate of anti Semitism.

We are all governed by those driven by the lust for power.
I cannot stand to look at the agony these poor Palestinians and Iraqi's , the horror of little children being slaughtered weeping mothers and fathers as they cradle their dying child in their arms..all in the name of religion?.and indeed the fear that is causing the Israeli's to fight for their lives and their right to live in the country they claim as their own. a right that has been questioned and controversial. It is TERRIBLE to see the death and carnage
That is being created by hatred..
I would ban "All Religion". If this is what religion creates! it is creating A Hell on Earth.
I would take some of these little ones who are suffering and terrified if I were able.and rather than opening the doors to all in sundry we should put a stop on them coming here and do the humane act of bringing some of those here who are suffering from this hatred slaughter and murdering attack on innocents.
When we watch the news, people fleeing to the top of a mountain! All because of their beliefs.
Can you tell me that the rapists, murderer's killers are believers in God who persue them.
The world has gone mad.

Sadly, Kate, I have come to the same conclusion.

The world has always been mad. It's more a case of the few sane people leaving....
