Vets?

Postby Gal » 08 Aug 2014, 14:29

Was cuddling Smudge earlier and I spotted a hardish lump in the crease of his thigh. He wasn't happy for me to inspect it but I did manage to part his fur and have a look and it seems he has got a tiny wound down there :| It's quite recent I think, although it isn't bad, it's a teeny hole and a wee bit of dried blood.

Would you have him checked out at the vets? Tom doesn't think it's necessary and he's seen plenty of wounds in animals, but wondered what everyone thought?

I think I'd just make sure it was clean, and keep a careful eye on it. Any sign of infection or Smudge being off colour and then I'd go to the vet's.....

Hugs for the puddytat ((((x))))

I'd just bathe it with some boiled/cooled salted water (not getting it too wet) and keep an eye on it, you'll soon notice if it looks angry or infected.
And yes as Kaz says, if Smudge seems off colour too, they're usually fine though x
