update.

since their last one ,says it cannot find my webcam

guy at local com.shop says possible it does'nt like VISTA or vice versa

i cannot find an e-mail address to send to Skype

Click on Start and then right Click on Computer
Select Manage
Click on Device Manager
There should be a section Imaging devices and in that section should be your webcam.

If there is no webcam listed, try plugging it into another port if it is external. If it's internal we can discuss other ways.

If it's visible in Windows then I'd suggest uninstalling skype and installing it again.

Vic, I lost my Acer Crystal Eye Cam when I upgraded from W7 to W8.1 this: http://www.yawcam.com/download.php brought it back.

It is generic so might work for you.

In the Options you can check your webcam. If it's visible and you can see yourself in the test window, then it's working.

got it back at last,took it in the local shop-he said i was the 2nd person to come in with same problem,however it's sorted -don't ask me -techie i ain't
