Good morning. :D :D

August is always our hottest month and this one is no different.

Just come back from a fabby run in which I knocked 4 minutes off my time! :D :D

A swim after some coffee then I'm going to make spicy meatballs and red velvet cupcakes - not in the same bowl.

Have a smashing day everyone. :D

Morning both :)

Well done Ally 8-)

I wonder how Di and Ria are doing this morning? ;) MORNING LADIES!!!!! ;) :D

Morrisons for us a bit later, then probably either chicken salad or lamb chops later - not decided yet ;) We have loads of tomatoes and aubergines from the greenhouse, so I might make some pasta sauce later and freeze it 8-)

Have a lovely Sunday everyone :) xx

Good morning, all.

It's a lovely morning here, although a few clouds are now appearing.

Later on we are going into town for a hotel lunch, to belatedly celebrate our wedding anniversary.
Then we will be watching to final day of the Commonwealth Games. Didn't we do well?

Hope you all have a happy day.

Morning all :)

We finally got rid of her ;) :D
Both of us were fine thanks, up bright and early and enjoyed inspecting the garden.
The earlier train was a slow one so no point, we triple-checked that the next one was running on time and then I dropped meriad at the station and legged it quick

It absolutely hammered down as I was driving back, but at home we got virtually nothing!
Yesterday was fab, couldn't have been better (except the train fiasco of course).
The neighbour was lovely and took me right to the station (with time to spare), meriad and I started talking as she got off the train and didn't shut up till she went to bed - yes, she was the first!
Had a lovely wander right up the length of the market/High St, then instead of walking all the way back down again to the quay we carried on and went to Wetherspoons and sat in the garden for a couple of hours.

Bb was home by then so he came and collected us, we got back here and carried on (well, actually I had a break for a cup of tea ;) ). We got all the food ready, meriad made a yummy tomato salad (with pomegranate molasses, the recipe was in yesterday's Times).
And she came bearing gifts - the best kind, to eat and drink :D Courgettes, cucumbers and chillies - and wine :D
Pretty little black chillies, that packed quite a punch in our tabbouleh :)
An extremely good time was had by all :D

Morning all - or rather good afternoon by now

Can't add much to what Di said - it was just such a perfect day yesterday. We literally started talking when we met up and didn't stop until it was bed time. What two lovely lovely people to have met - just amazing

Well after yesterdays fiasco to get home, here we are. After a very loud journey back (a whole group of spanish school kids that were doing what teens do best when in a big group - having fun, albeit rather loud  ) got home, fed my cats, went around the corner to sort out the cats of a neighbour that's away. Bit of a panic about that one last night - I knew mine would be fine, but really was worried about Trish's cats but thankfully managed to get hold of another neighbour who has looked after that lot before and she popped by.

Then back home - water the greenhouse and hang up washing and now me thinks it's time to relax

Afternoon all. A lazy day here - for me anyway. Mick is busy clearing out his van ready for our holiday next weekend. We'll look like right surfer dudes arriving in Cornwall in a VW Transporter!

I've mainly been reading, though I have hung washing out and tidied up.

Girls are off to their godparents for a sleepover later - their 3 year old twins have been pestering mum and dad for weeks. So tonight S and L will be entertaining them. S is in for an early start tomorrow - she doesn't usually get up til midday if she can get away with it.

Mick and I might go for a late lunch after we've dropped them off.
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone!
