Good morning. :D

Been and back from my run - it's forecast to be even hotter than yesterday. 8-)

A swim after my cuppa and then I think I'll have a lazy day by the pool - I've had a busy week.

Have a good day everyone. :D

Morning Ally, Morning everyone :)

It's a lot duller and cooler here, we've had a lot of rain since late afternoon yesterday. For once I'm not complaining about it - the gardens really need it! No Harry again this weekend, but he returned from his holiday with his friend's family yesterday and had a fabulous time - lots of playing tennis, football, and particularly lots of swimming, so he's happy :D Mick is fetching him over here on Wednesday for a week, while B visits her dad :)

So a usual quiet weekend here, out for lunch later, then nipping round to see D, then maybe Morrison's later, or perhaps we'll leave that until tomorrow........... 8-)

Have an enjoyable Saturday everyone :) xxx

Morning you three :)

No rain here at all. Would have been nice to have some overnight but glad it's not raining today.... I'm heading down to the New Forest a bit later this morning to meet up with Di :D which will be huge fun and as we're planning on mooching around town and having lunch somewhere it'll be nice to stay dry.

Have a lovely day everyone, whatever it is you're up to x

Morning :)
All we've had so far is a tiny bit of light drizzle; the map still shows any rain to be clearing from here by late morning so we're all set :D
Yep, another (very) mini-meet today, VIP arrival, very exciting :D - so I should have spent hours, if not days, in preparation, cleaning, scrubbing, etc...oh well :D :P

I have, on the other hand, made another lemon drizzle cake and have what should be some yummy food for later - and wine ;)
Glad H had a good time Kaz :)
Hope you all have a good day

Morning all. Dry here so far but heavy rain forecast for later.

Our day is pretty much dependent on the weather as the two things we were planning are outdoors.

First is the chicken racing. S and Mick will be there anyway as S is working as usual though her hours are extended and Mick is helping at the race. L and I will only go if it's dry! I am taxiing though.

Second is the steam rally. We never bother going during the day anymore but always try and go in the evening. The fair is open, the beer tent is flowing, the bands are playing and the smaller engines are chugging around, giving kids rides. But it's in a field so no fun if it's wet. We wanted to go to see a friend of Micks who (helped occasionally by Mick) has recently restored his organ. (Ooo. Arrrr missus). It's one of those big things in a truck. I'm not sure what's special about it but there are only two working ones in the world!

If it rains I will be baking and movie night tonight is destined to be Ferris Bueller.

Good morning everybody,

Heavy rain yesterday..

Still light rain this morning when I went shopping.

Can remember when I was young, steam engines puling threshing machines to the farms and then driving them with a large belt to thrash the corn. It was facinating to watch them.
Saw Fred Dibnah give a talk about his steam engines before he became famous. Very interesting and amusing.

Yes - it does stink Ton. And you always seem to be a little bit grubby when you get home!

It's a rainy day here in Glasgow but still very muggy.

I'm off out with the dog for her usual morning walk around the park. Owing to the Commonwealth games there has been a lot of parking restrictions in force for a few weeks now, meaning I have to take alternative routes to the park.
I've got some food with me to feed a swan who has seven young cygnets. The father swan was badly injured when the cygnets were just days off so he was taken to a sanctuary and mother swan has had to take care of the cygnets all by herself. She's done a wonderful job and it's been lovely watching the daily progress of the family.

After walking the dog I'm going to the hospital to collect my brother who has been in hospital for a couple of weeks with heart failure. He's looking at big life changes and although very clever he has absolutely no sense so it remains to be seen how that will pan out.

Di and Ria, have a great mini meet!
