Morning all, it's dull and damp here, there was quite a lot of rain overnight apparently (I didn't hear it!). Oh, it's raining again! Mr. Osc is supposed to go out and play golf at midday, but it might get rained off. I'm just about to have a shower, then the ironing awaits  I also want to finish making up the little baby cardigan I knitted before we went away, and start another. I got some cute little beads in a shop called Tiger the other day, do you have it in the UK? They are beads shaped like butterflies, but I think they will make nice little buttons.

That's awful about poor Billy, Jo  Some dog owners are unbelieveable. Enjoy the day everyone :)

LOL Jo - lazing by the pool with a book is great...but I still need to do all my normal housey things when it's scorchio.
The only difference is after years of living here I am definitely used to these temps.

Poor Billy..and poor you. :(

Are you both ok? x

Heck Jo - what a fright; poor Billy and poor you

I honestly don't get this thing about letting dogs off the lead in areas where there usually are other people with their dogs. Esp when - as this guy is aware - his dog is not exactly the type of dog to let off the leash

(((hug)))) hon and a fuss to Billy

Thanks everyone, he's had lots of fusses this morning and a few extra biscuits.

Ally, I've often thought of you when out walking Billy. You never know if someone walking along loves dogs or is petrified of them, I've had experience with Joe as he was terrified of dogs when we moved up here and walking him to school was a real ordeal as there'd be dog owners who wouldn't bother putting their dogs on leads, they'd come over to us and even the friendliest of dogs would reduce him to tears. As soon as I see anyone walking, Billy's back on his lead because you simply don't know how they feel about dogs. In fact, if he spots someone either walking or cycling before I do, he comes back to me and sits down.

Ria, they need time off lead though. They need to be able to be dogs, to explore and run and hunt BUT to be able to do this, they need to be under control which means that they need an owner who will train them properly and unfortunately some people aren't prepared to put in the time and effort to do this :(
