It's lovely and cool out there this morning. I really enjoyed my walk with Prince.

Hope you are all feeling fit.

Good morning Aggers :) It's cooler here too, which isn't unpleasant for a change ;)

I'm about to tackle that ironing I didn't do yesterday, it will be much more bearable in the cool ;) Then a quick run round with the hoover maybe.........No plans really for later, I'll just see how the day goes I think 8-)

Have a good day everyone - Friday again, and August already - the weeks seem to be racing by!

Mornng all. Nice so far here today though rain forecast later.

No plans for the day for me but I'm out with the kids tonight to see an Am Dram version of Little Shop of Horrors.

Then I shall take the girls home and whizz down to the pub to catch up with friends before we all disappear on our holidays.

Morning all. :D

Hotter than a baker's oven here.

A nice cooling swim is my exercise for the day - we walked miles and miles in Malaga yesterday.

I'm going to C&A this afternoon - the Malaga branch yesterday had a gorgeous dress but not in my size so they phoned the branch at Los Patios and reserved one for me. :D :D

Friday night beers and tapas. :D :D

Have a great day. :D

Morning :)
Cloudy and cooler here too, it's rather nice :)
Best make the most of it, if certain weather reports are to be believed - Britain Set To Boil, hottest August ever!!

I should say that I'm going to be a whirling domestic goddess but actually Bb's working in that grotty town with the good shops - asda for one! - so he's dropping me off while he works for 2 or 3 hours, then we're going to pootle back the prettiest way and stop for some lunch :)
Hope you all have a good day

Morning all

definitely a lot cooler today than it has been; and the weekend is meant to be like that as well - but ho hum....

Usual work day for me - meeting up with a friend for lunch and then heading over to another friend for dinner tonight. Between getting home and heading out again I need to sort out my cats (easy) and then pop around to a neighbour who has gone away for a week and asked me to look after her cats (not so easy/ nice - too many cats in too small a space and the place reeks :( ) .

Oh well - I shall survive

have a lovely day all x

Morning all :D

Had a good play with the new steam cleaner yesterday, a bit fiddly to begin with but now we know what's what it's really easy. Can't believe how easy and quick it is to do the floors now, what with the kitchen, conservatory and all the bathrooms it used to take ages. This whizz's through it all at great speed and leaves everything looking spotless, even I won't mind doing them from now on 8-) By the time we'd finished every suitable surface had been given the full treatment

Expecting a client any minute now, had to ask her to come really early as we're off to the optician to collect E's new specs. Afterwards we'll detour down to Tesco for a few bits ready for the invasion this weekend.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning everyone

Grey cloud again - but it really warms up in the afternoon :D

A stack of ironing for me too  We cleared and cleaned out a wardrobe yesterday and although a lot of stuff has gone to the clothes bin, a lot needed washing - so that's me sorted

Hope you all have a good day and the sun shines for you all xx

Good morning all, cooler and cloudier here and in fact we've just had a light shower. It's so much nicer for walking Billy though. Hot weather is fine if you have nothing to do but laze around with a book by a pool but it's not much fun when you want to get things done and go out and about.

Took Billy for his early walk today and would you believe he got set upon by yet another flippin' Staffie? We walked up a bank and I could see a man walking a little further away from his and when we got to the top of the bank I could see his dog standing stock still, staring over at us. I could tell from a distance that it was a Staffie. I decided we'd walk through the woods rather than across the top of the old quarry because that would've taken us marginally closer to the dog. All this time I was expecting his owner to call him. Before we could get to the wood path though, the dog suddenly started running at full pelt towards us, barking. The man was oblivious and just carried on walking. By that point he was probably 150 yards away from his dog and not once had he looked back and called him. As soon as he was over by us he jumped on Billy's back. It's bloody scary seeing a dog like that running fast towards you, snarling and baring it's teeth  :( I was shouting at it to go away and I hit it with my umbrella a few times. It wasn't until I started to scream that the owner turned around and started running towards us to get his dog

Thankfully Billy's fine, but he's stuck close to me ever since. He's never yet retaliated and I'm not sure how many times now that this has happened, I'm losing count, but each time it's been a Staffie. They jump on his back or go for his neck (he lost some fur and had a nasty bite on one occasion) to try to overpower him. The owner called the dog as he got closer and he actually went back to him and he put him on his lead and started to walk back in the direction he was going so after I'd checked Billy and given him a fuss I chased after him and gave him a mouthful. He said that he's usually the only one over there at that time (which is a load of rubbish) so his dog is okay off the lead - which said to me that he doesn't think it's safe to have it off the lead when people and other dogs are around?! All this time the dog was still barking, growling and baring it's teeth towards Bill.

We bump into lots of dogs and their owners while walking and it's always a matter of the dogs having a sniff and then have a run around together. Billy does this submissive thing when another (usually smaller) dog approaches where he lies down flat, letting the other dog know that he's not a threat.

So that was how my day started :? Joe's still in bed and Tom's at M's as they were going to a dance class last night. No idea what kind of dance, he was vague about it and just said they were going out but she'd told Joe (who is the wrong person to give that kind of information to!!). I'll do some housework and walk Billy again this afternoon, and we need to pick up a desk for Joe's room from Argos this evening. Hopefully the rain won't amount to too much tonight and we can get a late walk in too.

Have a good day all! Enjoy the shops Di!
