Aggers, our beach here is lovely :D

Gently slopes down to th Ria Formosa, and we have lagoons, which fill up as and when the tide comes in - sometimes deep, sometimes not. And the children love it - as they can play, paddle and even swim in warm water.

Then we also have the Atlantic over the sand dunes. - and a few more lagoons too :D

And both are blue flags. We are really lucky :D :D

You're right Ton, your beach is beautiful - and safe, and warm :)

Beaches here are fantastic, Bb and I lived right opposite miles of absolutely gorgeous beach. But we'd go down there in March, or October; and in the summer, only after 5pm :)
When we go abroad, it's not for the beach. But then when we go on holiday here it's not for the beach either.

It can be awfully miserable in this country if you have a week of cold rain - it depends a bit on where you are, but if you've gone to stay by the seaside there's often very little else around.

Well it has to be the Northumberland coast for me, from Bamburgh at east as far south as Creswell and possibly further - it's just gorgeous, all rugged rocks and white sandy beaches, with sand dunes here and there, it was fab the other week in the good weather, but then we walked along Beadnell Beach in the rain and it was still absolutely fab :D :D
