Houses to rent in this area have many prospective renters but this time it looks as if they have been lucky. It's a bit beyond their original budget, but because SIL plans to work from home, part of the rent can be set against tax apparently. It's a gorgeous house, huge, probably bigger than they need in all honesty. But they wanted a 3 year lease whereby the landlord was only originally interested in one year (the departing tenants have been there 2½ years), however they emphasised their close links to the area, SIL's brother lives literally across the road, we live less than a ten minute walk away, and the agent seemed to take a liking to them. The owner lives in Mauritius. There are still a few things to be ironed out, but it's looking more than hopeful

(I'm not a fluent Irish speaker, too many years of having it forced down my throat when in school made me dislike it strongly). Actually Mr. Osc has delved deeper for a translation, and has come up with "golden harbour" which sounds much nicer
