Swim done early as I need to walk into town to get a few bits and bobs and go to the bank.

Meeting a friend for coffee and cake - Daniela at Tiede has promised to have her raspberry and coconut cakes ready for us .

Back home this afternoon for a splosh to cool down.

Last day of school for the girls today until 10 September.

Looks like we're in for another hot day. I'm off across town to the hairdresser for my regular cut/colour/blow dry this morning so fingers crossed we don't get any rain. Will be interesting as although it's my usual stylist, it's a different salon. The one I've been going to for years closed down suddenly, it made our local paper, a couple of days after my last appointment..........it wasn't me honest

Nothing else planned for today, must try to get hold of mother's consultant this afternoon, still no results.

Unusual July weather here - scorchio
I refuse to complain and am happy to adapt
All windows and doors (except front door) are open and curtains drawn where there's sun.
Ally the cake sounds good

H-word to be done this morning, before it looks too bad
Bb's working in the direction of the nice big nursery this afternoon so I might go with him; they send out coupons for monthly offers and July's includes a half-price rosemary. I have one but it's never got very big so another would be nice - and my mint's disappeared

It's quite pleasant here this morning, and a bit cooler than yesterday.
It was horribly hot and humid yesterday, and our new air conditioner was not working,
so it's going back today. I wonder what today will bring?

Lovely and hot, but with a bit of a breeze, so keeping it from being too hot

Houseworkery stuff for me and Grumpy will be sorting out cuttings and gardening stuff.
