Morning all, it's dull and very warm here...and so humid. I'm just back from the gym, a bit later today as it doesn't open until 9am on Sundays. John's just driving Tom and M down to her house, she's been here since Friday lunchtime

Not sure what we're doing today, John's not had much sleep as his shoulder is very achey so I've just wired him up with a mini Tens machine to see if that'll help.

I had the first tomato out of my Mom's greenhouse last night, it was warm and so very tasty :D

Right, going to jump into the shower now!

Happy Birthday to L!

Have a good day all!

Morning all :D

Late getting in here as we've just been out to buy a new salad spinner, ours gave up the ghost a couple of days ago. We got this one http://www.johnlewis.com/oxo-good-grips-salad-spinner/p517052?navAction=jump it was a bit dearer than the type with the handle, but I can never do a good job with those anyway so fingers crossed spending a bit more proves a good buy.

Happy Birthday to L debih :D

Our evening was interesting, lots of gossip to catch up on, Lisa's just been to New York and they're off to Russia in a couple of weeks time. Food wise, well she decided on M&S lasagne this time and had also bought a big bowl of ready done salad. Pud was an M&S lemon torte. We love M&S food so it went down very well, but tbh her choice isn't what I'd personally dish up to guests, more something E and I would have for convenience when I can't be bothered to cook. Much better and tastier than last time though

Cooking a rotisserie chicken later to have with salad.........we'll look like rabbits soon

Hope you all have a good day :D

At least it was edible Jen, that's all that matters really :D

We have one of These which is the same idea.
Very expensive but one day it was a fiver on amazon - obviously that was the day I bought it
It is good, but awfully big - but the small one wasn't a fiver :D

Talking of salads, one of my lovely wooden 'salad hands' has broken, I found it in the drawer earlier before we served up the BBQ, but strangely nobody knows how it happened :?  Will have to get myself down to Pro Cook and get some more

We've had a fab BBQ and sat on the deck with some wine, eating it :) We'd just finished when the heavens opened so we've decamped indoors - with the wine, natch :P ;)

Jo, our tomatoes and cuke were homegrwon too :D

Becky was drinking one of those strawberry and lime Kopperburg ciders until a fly landed in it :P :D

Oh I just fish 'em out Kaz and carry on drinking ;)
No rain here, but I have just taken the washing in, in case. It was bone dry anyway, but I've been asleep :D

The babies are still cheeping like mad, not flying yet but a few attempts along the wooden fence at the bottom, they flutter up, board by board, then fall down :D

Sounds lovely Kaz, did you have the steak?
I've cut our chicken up and it's marinating - if the heavens do open it can go in the oven :)
