Postby Ally » 20 Jul 2014, 05:39

Good morning on this scorchio day. 8-) 8-) 8-)

A killer hill walk early.

I was in bed and fast asleep last night for 11.30.  :o

A lazy day by the pool methinks - I have a busy week next week. ;)

Have a smashing day everyone. :D

Morning Ally, morning all :)

Beautiful here and the forecast says summer is here to stay, yippeeeee :D
Big news of the morning - the baby wrens are out :D Still not sure how many, we know we could see three little beaks in the nesting box. I missed them actually coming out, it must have been only about half an hour ago, but now there are tiny piercing cheeps all over the garden :D
I did manage one pic, but have now shut the door to let them get on with it in peace for a while :)

Not sure what we're doing today, think a small batch of washing and a blitz of h-word for both of us.
It's the town carnival today, don't know whether we'll go into town to watch that or somewhere else to avoid it :D
I do know we'll be having chicken in some form tonight as it's out thawing :)
Hope everyone has a good day
Di

Snap on the chicken front Di - I took one out the freezer before I went for my walk and it's practically defrosted. :o :o

How lovely to have baby wrens to see. :D

LOL..I'm copying you here again. I have some baby news too - Jackie (my best friend) became a great aunt last night to Evie Blossom Jefferson who weighed in at 6lb 3 oz after a 4 hour labour for mum Lisa. :D :D

Morning all. Exhausted - two nights running now of being kept awake til 3.30am. First night S and her friend, last night L and her mates.

It's L's 12th birthday today. We are off to Laserquest later.

Early nights all round tonight I think.

They are lovely but are all over the garden with no idea what they're doing :D
There do seem to be 3.

Minnie wouldn't deliberately hurt them, but she's so big and they're so teeny :)
I worry they could die of fright if she barked right up close, never mind that she could accidentally step on one
It's rather too hot to have the doors shut but it won't be for long, and we have windows - and we can keep going outside with her :)

Congratulations to your friend and her niece Ally :) x

Morning everyone

We're back to our heat :D :D

Congrats to the baby and baby wrens aunts

And Happy Birthday to L xx

Chicken for us too - but on the bbq, as it was too cold and windy yesterday.

But a day of sport again, the grand prix and men in lycra :D

And a bit of gardening, as most of our tomato plants have finished and Bente wants some cuttings, so we'll be digging plants up and chucking plants out ;)

Enjoy the sunshine everyone xx

Good morning everybody.
Still cloudy and humid.

Like Rodo and others I never have a good nights sleep now. Can get up several times to go to the toilet. May have a siesta in the afternoon if we are not out or doing anything special.

When I was young my father fired a twelve bore shot gun out of our bedroom window and I never heard a thing.

Recently the police knocked on our front door at 1 a.m. They were trying to get in next door as the old lady had rung 999. Mrs. e did not know I had got up out of bed until I told her in the morning.

Morning all :D I think it might be a bit cooler! I love the sun, but I am getting so hot at the moment I'm melting. I had to miss a milonga last night as it was too hot to tango!
Good news on the birdy front. I love watching the little babies in the garden. We have been watching the tadpoles in our pond too, it seems to take ages for them to get their little froggy legs.
Love to everyone and have a good day whatever you are doing x
