We've just got up Didn't really sleep properly until about 4.00 and then zonked out

Quite cool this morning, with lots of cloud around

Sporty day for us - men in lycra this morning and early afternoon and then footie early evening. BBQ later on, I'll get everything prepped ready and then as soon as the footie has finished, we'll start. Need to get in before it gets cold again

Ouch and double ouch for John, Jo and hope you get all the things you need for the boys x

Glad you enjoyed Kaiser Chiefs Deb - I'm miffed that they're only doing festival type shows and their own shows in London and Leeds, I wanted a proper tour Love 'em live, they put on a great show, how much energy has Ricky got? He's all over the stage!

He was amazing. The other bands were teeny bopper types and although they moved around the stage they were very restrained.

Ricky was tossing his mic stand about and jumped down to the front of the stage to ride on the cameras. The kids went wild - they are obviously so used to seeing manufactured bands doing as they are told. He really played up to the cameras.

And I was really pleased with the songs (sadly only 4) - meanwhile up in heaven, coming home, ruby and predict a riot.

What a night,
The thunder and lightning woke both of us.
It must have been really bad as OH sleeps through anything.

Another bout of thunder and lightening last night, went on for much longer too. Obviously rained most of the night as well as it was still very wet when we got up, oh and it's piddling down now too

My old boss has invited us for dinner this evening, wonder what we'll get this time Last time we went she made a lasagne which I think is as far as she'd got on her cookery course. It was very nice, but we were a bit bemused when that's all she put on the table, no salad or any other accompaniment, just a big dollop of lasagne She'd been in London that day so pud was cake from Harrods, again very nice but it was all a bit bizarre Haven't seen her since just before we had the decorator in to tidy the house before putting it on the market and she's been to South Africa since then so lots to talk about.

My mum and dad once went to someone's for dinner and they got lasagne with roast potatoes, veg and gravy
