Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 17 Jul 2014, 05:20

Good morning. :D :D

Another scorcher brewing. 8-) 8-) 8-)

A swim first then I'm going into school this morning to sit in on another class with the summer students - all good experience. :P :P :D

Meeting Don and Party Pete in town afterwards for a few beers and some lunch. :D :D

As we're up early tomorrow for the airport run it's Scrabble on the terrace tonight and a Chinese takeaway.

Have a smashing day everyone. :D

Morning all :)

Ally enjoy sitting in on the class, and have a great last evening with your guest :)

Well it's anther scorcher here too, apparently it's going to be the hottest day of the year so far with the temps creeping up towards 30, so enjoy it everyone but stay cool 8-) :)

I feel ok this morning, will update on the Health board rather than posting on here and bunging up the Morning thread ;)

I really want to get my hair cut, so am hoping that 'my' girl will be in Supercuts later, if not I might just let whoever is in there loose on it as it's a mess   Nails need doing too so that will be my day taken care of - am hoping B will want to come so we can have the day out together we missed yesterday! Also need to book my train ticket for Bristol next week, for meeting up with Poll and Amy :D

Have a lovely day everyone, enjoy the sunshine but stay safe in it xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Good morning my friends.

Enjoy this super summer if you can. My dear wife isn't too happy about it, as her
medical problem becomes much worse when it's hot, so we won't be going far.

Do take care.

Morning :)
Yep, forecast to be scorchio here too - building today and tomorrow then crash bang wallop on Saturday :D

Tricky isn't it Aggers, it's lovely to have the sunshine but difficult for some. I can't afford to get it on my back at the moment which is harder than expected, but since most of the year we have grey dreary days I'm enjoying just seeing it :)

I was out in the garden nice and early, and a little quite late last night, doing a few little bits and pieces.
Those baby wrens haven't been out a lot, their parents are getting quite cross :D

Enjoy your class sitting-in Ally, helpful I'm sure :)
Kaz hope you get your day out/haircut/nails :)
Have a good day all

Morning everyone

Hot - again

Sorry Mrs A isn't too keen on the weather being hot Aggers, but at least you know it won't last too long.

Only the mid 30's for us, but no wind, so feels hotter, somehow

Off shopping as soon as Grumpy stirs himself and then he's got men in lycra to watch this afternoon. I'll sit outside with a book - in the shade

Hope you all have a good day and keep using the sunscreen :D xx

Morning all. Gorgeous, gorgeous morning here.

No real plans - clean the windows upstairs and have a potter at home. I'm building up the enthusiasm to go to the allotment to pick more raspberries and the last of the gooseberries (I have to pace myself to do the gooseberries -horrible thorny things). I should have gone first thing this morning when it was slightly cooler as I don't want to go this evening - everyone is out and I intend to soak in the bath. I am not going to be doing any weeding - just watering and picking.

I've also got to ring school to speak to the work experience woman. S is trying to sort her placements out (it isn't until next July but they need to get them done early if they want to get in somewhere decent). She has written to the vet to see if they will take her and yesterday at riding she asked the riding instructor if she could go there for a week (she thinks it will be a week full of riding) - Lidia is happy for her to go but she needs to be approved by the local authority so I said I would ring school to find out what that entails. No doubt jumping through lots of hoops which means it won't happen!

And thats my day. I'm taking it easy as I have a busy day tomorrow, including trying to make a birthday cake that looks like a pug for L!!!

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

We had a good visit with mother yesterday, she was very cheerful and thoroughly enjoyed her outing for coffee and ice cream. Afterwards we popped into John Lewis and bought E a new electric razor he noticed while we were there last week...........looking for something else entirely I must add

No plans for us today, need to take the garden rubbish to the tip and that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Debih do you think L spends all year trying to decide what would be the most difficult cake to ask for?

Saundra why have a duvet at all? We have just a duvet cover (cotton), but you could always put a thin blanket on top if you like a bit of weight or it gets cooler :)
Jen glad your mother was on form :)
