Millie is back in hospital

Postby debih » 09 Jan 2013, 18:15

I dropped her off there this evening. Typically, when I picked her up from my mums she was all bouncy and waggy tailed and was very pleased to see the two girls at the vets (although not quite so keen when she realised I was abandoning her).

They were going to put her straight onto a drip (although as she was so bouncy I'm not convinced it will stay in long - she gnawed it out last time) and will feed her through an iv to get some food into her.

Tomorrow she is going to be either aneathesetised (sp) or sedated and have more x rays and the camera back down. Dan, the dishy vet, wants to start from scratch and see if they can find what's causing the problem.

I should get an update later on tomorrow and see how long they are likely to keep her in for.

On the plus side, I rang the insurance company tonight as whilst I was there I asked the receptionist if they had received any payment yet and she said no so I started to panic that they weren't covering us for whatever reason. The girl at the insurance company said that they had received the form but had sent it back to me as there was a problem - oh my god, how I panicked. Apparently the nurse signed the form and they wanted the vet to sign it - so no problem other than that. Phew.

Oh Debbie, but I think it is for the best and I really hope this time they can sort the poor little thing out.

At least you can relax a bit tonight

To be honest, I feel quite relieved that she's back in, even though I know that she will hate it and it will stress her out even more.

But at least it means that they can monitor her, do more tests and get some food and fluids into her.

Aw, poor Milly. And poor you, no wonder you're not sleeping.

Hopefully, they'll be able to sort the problem out once and for all and she can better soon.

Big hugs Debih xxxxx

(((Debih)))); she's in the best place possible right now and as you say now they can at least monitor her and figure out what is going on.... and YOU get a bit of a break from it all.

Thank goodness for insurances right :)
