We haven't had summer in winter chicken for ages.

We had BBQ chicken thighs and drums with new potatoes and salad.

Chicken kievs, with a couple of those little peppers roasted in the same tray, with a tiny bit of pesto in and quartered baby tomatoes. Courgette also in the same tray, and later a few baby tomatoes.
Served on brown rice with spinach wilted in - yum yum :D

Thankfully we both do - if I hadn't been making it simple we'd have had green beans as well :)
But we do also love meat, just not in excess ;)

Well, we were supposed to be having spag bol, Michael's favourite as he was here - but "someone" Image took what he thought was bol sauce out of the freezer and it turned out to be chilli  Michael doesn't like chilli but I served it with pasta anyway (which was strange  ) and told him it was a different recipe, removed kidney beans but he is too clever and only tried a little bit before saying "well I am still a little bit sick Granny". In fairness he is not totally back to eating normally.

We were going to have steak with a packet pasta, but I had no packet pasta, so we ended up with tuna pasta bake.
So tonight's dinner is something with steak, that I can whip up in next to no time as I will probably pick hubby up from work again as he's still sick, and it means we can all sit down to dinner earlier if I do.

This made me smile Osc and reminded me of Conor (who was always too smart for his own good!)

I think he was about 7 or 8 and he'd asked for spag bol - but somehow naughty mummy forgot and made a chilli instead. :P

After a look, a sniff and finally a taste he pipes up with: "mummy, I think this spag bol took a wrong turning left of Mexico!!"

I laughed out loud.
