 Cook 'em up and freeze it Ton, I did that with loads of our last year and they made a great base for pasta, soup, etc ;)

Saundra, our Sky has done that before and it's been a matter of changing channels and then it's come back. Otherwise have you tried unplugging the box and leaving it for a few minutes? Hope you get it sorted xx

Di, maybe cookies. I'm thinking either chocolate chunk or peanut butter (or perhaps a batch of each) and some ginger biscuits. I meant to get some desiccated coconut as I fancied making the Anzac biscuits which Weka gave us the recipe for years ago but forgot! What are you making?

Well Jo, what I'd completely forgotten while posting is that there was a disaaaarster in the kitchen last night :o
I went to set some bread up and there were weevils in the flour :o

They make me paranoid (only had them once before) so this morning we also got all the opened bags of flour down and threw them away, took everything else off that shelf and cleaned it...
In town we tried to find some plastic tubs that would hold the actual bags but couldn't, so I got some extra-large freezer bags and will try putting the bags each into one of those :?

So I'm shorter of time than I was but will get to the kitchen this afternoon and decide :D

I do that too Di - anything in a packet once opened goes into a plastic container.

This all stems from 40 odd years ago when mum went to bake some cakes and inside the pack of flour there were earwigs.

*shudder* *shudder* *shudder*

afternoon everyone :D

I was going to say morning but its nearly 2pm lol! Very lazy day here, had a long-ish lie, got up and had bacon in bagels for brekkie with fresh coffee in my cafetiere, Amy has gone out to play with her friend a few doors down and I am still in my pj's!

Usually we have to do shopping/ironing etc on a Sunday but its the HOLIDAYS and no work/school tomorrow so today is an official pyjama day in my head :) :)

I have hung washing out to dry and done all my dishes, will no doubt have a shower later before making our tea.

It is a lovely sunny day so i should be outside but can't be bothered  8-)

Have a good day everyone

Sounds good to me Poll :D :D Hope you are having a lovely day with Amy :)

Earwigs and weevils? Yukkety yuck  :? You did right to throw it all out Di. I keep all my stuff like that (flour, sugar, pasta etc in the pull out larder I have built into my units - the 'shelves' are made to look like wire baskets, and I don't 'think' anything could crawl in.......... :? :? :? Might go and double check in a minute :?  Plastic boxes sounds a good idea!!

Lunch was delicious, the baked veggies were tasty - now Mick has just left with Harry, and Becky is bathing the dogs :o   Sounds like chaos from here *keeping a safe distance* :P ;)

Oh there was a slight alteration to lunch though, I opened the baby new potatoes I bought in Morrison's yesterday, I was going to par boil and roast them with the veg - and one was rotten, and the rest were a bit slimey  :? Then I opened the pack of peppers (ours aren't ready yet) and the red one was bruised :( They will be going back tomorrow
