Aw, thanks Di and Ton.

Di, you're really not that far from me - I should pop down your way one day; even if it's just for a day to say hi :) I should look at trains because I can get free train travel on weekends. Which is your closest station and how far would you be from there?

Oooh that is a really good idea, and with free travel it's cheap as well :D
The only problem is that they're often doing engineering works at weekends but hopefully less so now it's tourist-time.

There's a station here but usually we use Brockenhurst, which is just 5 miles up the road - dead easy :D
It would only be if Bb was working that you'd need to then transfer to the one that comes here (just the one stop to get to the town).
Get looking :D

just did and there seems to be a train from Woking to Brockenhurst every hour on a Saturday and the journey time is one hour so that's not bad at all :) So let me know what Saturday suits and we can meet up for lunch :)

I'm saving for my 50th birthday treat to myself - a holiday away from my family. I thought maybe I might go to Spain for a few days and then onto Portugal...........

Right then, this Saturday, Bb's working but I could meet you from the train here.
Next week I'm being zapped and have no idea how I'll be so that would be a question of wait and see.
Sat 19th fine, 26th no as we're going to meet Osc :)
Then any after that as well, as far as I know.

You need two trips Debih, believe me it's near impossible to get from one to the other ;)

We were talking last night about going to New York for John's 50th, it's also our 20th anniversary later that year. Then I thought, and said, "But what are we going to do for my 50th?" which is the following year. John said maybe we could go inbetween both...."or go again" he said
