Wonder what's going on in town to make the prices suddenly jump up? Cricket? Tennis?

That's what I thought too Jo.

Plenty of time to have a mooch on the tinterweb. :D

Travel Lodge are worth a look and there are a couple very near the Old Joint Stock.

I had a look on their website last night but you can only book 11 months in advance.

I think if there is a sudden spate of bookings - or perhaps even potential bookings (ie people all putting in the same dates to search) - the website picks up on it and the prices peak ;)

We need to be canny and stagger bookings over the weeks or even months ;) They WILL go down again ;)

I have a couple of pics too, so will put them on later :)

I've just looked again and it says there's no rooms available there on 23 June next year.

Might need to find an alternative hotel.

I'm going to leave it till early September (or till the UK kids go back to school) and then sit with a nice big mug of coffee, a plate of biscuits and just mooch on tinterweb at available hotels in Brum for June 23rd. :D :D :D
