Up until the last few weeks of my Dear Mum's life I'd phone her every evening at around five and we'd talk together for an hour. We'd pour ourselves a glass of wine each, her in Sussex and me in Dorset, and although I lost her three years ago I still miss that special time. We'd both be in our kitchens doing something towards our evening meals and clatter pans about while we chatted even though I emailed her every morning with a Good Morning it made us both feel so close. Phone bill was enormous but I'd pay anything to be able to do that again.

I know what you mean, Fugitive. My mum was really a great person to talk to. And funny in a very
unexpected way. She'd come out with the strangest things and we'd all end up laughing so hard.
Then she'd cock her head like she didnt' have a clue what we were laughing about. She
passed away just before Mother's Day this past year and miss her terribly!
