Identity Protection

Has anyone else had a refund from CPP the card protection racket? They sent me a claim form and I did not expect to hear anything but they have sent me a large cheque which I strongly suspect is rather more than I have actually paid. :D :D

Yes. I did not know I had this insurance until I applied to them. I did not recognise the company that evidently I had been
A customer of since 2003 or 2004.

Yes, this was included in a policy for loss of keys, lost and stolen credit cards etc.
I had several letters explaining what was going to happen. One of them included a claim form which I completed and returned in a pre-paid envelope. Never expected to hear any more.
Then I got a large cheque which has paid for two more cruises.

hmmm, I got a letter from a company a while back about a 'mis-sold' identity protection that i would have had with my BarclayCard. I was thinking about submitting it to see what would come of it but two things stopped me; 1) if I did claim what's stopping them from asking me to settle the full balance and closing my account and 2) I've more than once had the chance to say no thank you but haven't.... so why now 'punish' them? No one sat on me and forced me to take out the protection.
