Football crazy, football mad!!

Postby Ally » 08 Jan 2013, 16:33

Conor and his friends, that is.

Before college this morning Conor went into Malaga to La Rosaleda (Malaga's football stadium) to buy a ticket for tonight's Copa del Rey match.

They were selling them for 5 euros and that boy likes a bargain.

Then very early tomorrow morning him and a mate are going into a football agency in Torremolinos to buy tickets for the Porto Malaga match on the 19th February.

Now..on the 19th February Conor and 3 friends will be sharing the driving from Malaga to Porto in flippin Portugal! :o
A distance of 860kms.
They'll be leaving at 2am and reckon they'll be there within 10-11 hours allowing for pit stops. ;) ;)

The match kicks off about 9pm and afterwards they'll head back home to Malaga.

Mad..mad as a box of mad things the lot of them.

That's why I didn't say anything like "What? Is he crazy???" seeing as I flew alone to New York to see Billie Joe Armstrong appear on Broadway

My thoughts exactly!

I'm of the mindset that if you get the chance to do these things then do them, no matter how crazy they may seem to others. Do I want to sit back when I'm 80 and think "I wish I'd done that...."? No, I want to sit there and think "That WAS fun!!!" :D

Brilliant both of you. I drove to Stratford on Avon which isn't far but it did involve a short trip along the M40 and boy was that brave for me 8-)

I would hate to think what sort of mileage I've covered in pursuit of football matches since August ..... so far, the top six "most distant" round trips from home - Rocester, Bishops Cleeve, Evesham, Oxford, Broadstreet and Ellistown - would, I reckon, total not far short of 500 miles and we're only half way through the season. :D

I must admit to liking your penchant for going to 'non big league' footie games Os.

Love the fact you get scores like 9-5 or 8-6 or 9-8...you get my drift. ;) ;) :D
