I've had a look at the menu and I'm torn. There are several things I'd like.

I'm planning an afternoon in Birmingham browsing the shops as my plane doesn't leave until 7.00pm or thereabouts. I want to be at the airport by 5.00 at the latest. I hate feeling under pressure and like to be safely ensconced at the airport with my Kindle (possibly in the bar) in plenty of time.

It doesn't look like I'm going to be making it at all now :(
The school have sent us an invitation to Award's Evening because Tom's won something - he won't know what until the night - and I can't really miss it. I'd love to actually as it'll be hours of sitting there watching kids I don't know receive their awards (that sounds awful doesn't it?) but I should be there for Tom.
The best I could do would be to run into the Old Joint Stock, wave up to the balcony and then run like crazy back down to New St to get back on the train :(

Bloody typical, I never go anywhere but then three things crop up on the same day :|

Oh Jo, that is a huge shame; but T definitely has to come first. Well done him. I remember receiving a prize in my last year of school - and I also didn't know about it and was wondering why my mother had decided to turn up for the school awards ceremony as she didn't know anyone getting anything....    but when my name was called I was so glad she was there; it made it more special
