Thanks all - yes Kate, the kids were all quite upset as you can imagine :(

How terrible! I hope the girl recovers quickly. It is strange she had a stroke at such a young age, but on the flip side, she's got her youth going for her. I hope it all works out well.

strokes can happen at any age
she will have her youth and stamina to help her cope

You forget that it happens to young people :(


You do forget, a friend of ours had a stroke when he was a baby which has affected his sight but apart from that he made a good recovery.

Thanks Di, they are :( This tutor was also arranging the Borneo trip in April, but the students have been assured it will still go ahead...............

Sending loads of vibes Kaz. My sister had a friend who had a stroke when she was in her late 30's and she made a full recovery; fingers crossed it's the same for Becky's tutor. As has already been said before; she has youth on her side and that counts for a lot.
