Morning Dippy, Ally and everyone

Blinkin' hot here too now  but only up to 32C yesterday. After Tuesdays 24C -a bit of a difference

Not sure if i can cope with another 5 nights of this late night drinking lark   might have to cancel tonights dinner out and have an early - alcohol free - night   Gladys is just not used to it.

Anyway - Happy Birthday to my gorgeous daughter - she's now on her way to Lanzarote, last minute decision, couldn't come here, too full, so Lanzarote it is.

Beer run for us    and then we'll see what the day brings.

Hope you all have a good day xxx

Good morning everyone. It's dull and very muggy here and rain is forecast which would cool it down a bit. We are off for a couple of days to the North Antrim coast so fingers crossed it's not too rainy. I'm just packing up the car now and we'll be off. You'd think we were going for a fortnight the amount of stuff we're taking.

Morning all :) Bright sunshine here again on the Costa del Glosta ;) Several days in a row now - I could get used to this 8-) ;)

Hope it doesn't get any hotter Dippy, that sounds a bit fierce  Take care xx

Ton it does sound like Gladys needs a night off, have an ugg (((x))) Hoope your daughter has a lovely birthday :)

Enjoy the footie Ally, we've been avoiding it in our house but no doubt Harry will want it on this weekend ;)

Paddy I wish I could share our sunshine, breaks away are so much nicer with a bit of currant bun  ;)

Well Harry is coming for the weekend, so that will be lovely!! :D This afternoon I have an appointment with the GP, the optician told me to wait about a week for his letter about referring me to the hossie to land, then to see her. Well her locum anyway as mine is on holiday  Otherwise, I'll be mooching in the sunshine 8-) :D :D

Had a much more comfy night last night, as I bought a new summer duvet yesterday, ours from last summer having gone AWOL, I think I must have binned it. That means I have to wash the winter one then store it away in a vac bag

Have a nice sunny day everyone, hugs for any as needs 'em (((((x))))

Morning :)
Another beautiful day here too, we're being spoiled :D
Dippy yes 38's rather a lot
Ton do look after Gladys (((x)))
Paddy hope the weather's kind - that's why we need so much going away in this country isn't it, ready for all weathers :)
Kaz hurray for Harry coming :D Did you know England kick off's at 11pm tomorrow ;)

Think we have to wait for a work delivery for Bb before we can go out, then we're going along the coast to where we used to live, he could do with a haircut. I'll get us some lunch and we'll picnic by the river - or on the beach :)
Have a good day all

Morning all. Another gorgeous morning here too - it makes so much difference getting up to sunshine.

I'm trapped at home today as Mick has my car. He booked his van in for a service and then announced he needed my car. No "what day would suit you for me to borrow your car as I need to book my van in for a service". Just booked it and told me he had to use mine. Fortunately I didn't need it to go anywhere today. But thats not the point. He's annoyed me over something else anyway so when he announced that he needed the car to me yesterday (yep, he gave me loads of notice) that tipped me over the edge and we had a massive row! So today will be spent pottering.

This morning I have the window man coming out. I want to get a quote for the three sash windows in S's bedroom and also a new back door. We currently have a wooden, hand made stable door but it has rotted at the bottom and needs replacing so as much as I prefer the wooden look we have decided to go for upvc. I want his opinion on upvc stable doors as that's what I would really like but I have heard that they can be like Fort Knox to open.

This afternoon (between 15.48 and 18.48) to be precise the washing machine repair man is coming back. I'm a little miffed at the time as a) after 6pm is a stupid time for him to arrive and b) he'll have a hell of a job parking. When I rang to book the appointment and was told that it would be between 8am and 8pm and would get a text the night before with a three hour time slot I did tell the woman on the phone that if he came during school hours he would have a much better chance of getting parked close to the house. Hey ho, its not my problem. I'm not expecting the machine to be fixed today anyway - when the local chap came out he replaced the part only to find that it still needed another part and told me to get Hotpoint out using their parts warranty (machine only 18 months old) but not tell them that he had been. So god knows how long it will be before it is working.

Am supposed to be out for a drink tonight but not decided yet - I will see if Mick is still annoying me when he comes home!
