Amy is 9....

Postby pollR78 » 11 Jun 2014, 19:18

I can hardly believe it but today my girl turned the grand age of 9!!

It's true what they all say, the years do go so quickly when kids come along, she has had a wonderful day and has been well and truly spoilt - wouldn't have it any other way! Lots of lovely gifts, and I got away from work in time to collect her from school. We then went for a lovely meal with my sister, niece and nephew, oldest niece is in Lanzarote so she phoned while we were in the restaurant to speak to Amy :D :D :D

I feel so blessed to have my beautiful girl, and as I think of what happened just before she was born, I don't feel anxious about it anymore, but I do think about it and think how lucky I am that they acted so quickly and how lucky I am here to enjoy my girl, she really does make my life worth living.

Oh that's lovely. You count yourself lucky to have her and I'm sure she feels exactly the same about you. Nine is a lovely age I always think - still very young, but just becoming a bit more aware. You are going to have some lovely times together I think.

Well Poll - your love shines through for Amy and long may that continue.

Don was 54!! today - birthday boy and myself went into Malaga for the day. :D

We ended up back in our town tonight, and, unbeknown to Don, Jacob and Conor had arranged (via me) to surprise hubby in the pub and turned up full of hugs, smiles and love.

Don was over the moon. :D :D

I get blown away sometimes by the way they show, without any embarrassment, the love they have for their dad.

Love..in all its forms, is wonderful. x

I'm really looking forward to my niece reaching that age - she's still a year and a bit off it. It'll be nice to be able to have more 'adult' interaction with her.

I'm glad you had a good day yesterday. Whenever you talk about Amy in your posts your love for her is so apparent; it's lovely and it really is great that you get on so well with each other x

Ally, what a lovely thing Jacob and Conor did; I've said it before -- you;ve done well with them x
