Where's Blair?

Postby cromwell » 11 Jun 2014, 17:47

500,000 refugees fleeing from the city of Mosul in Iraq. Police and army have fled as Sunni Islamic 'militants' capture more ground.
When the Iraqi Prime Minister asks civilians to arm themselves and fight back, you sense there is a big problem.

Sunni militants, funded by the Saudis and the Gulf states, enthusiastic beheaders of Shia muslims and Christians, are fighting throughout Iraq and Syria.

What a mess!

And where is our glorious Middle Eastern 'peace envoy'? Where is Tony Blair, invader of Iraq, toppler of the wicked Saddam and dodgy dossier merchant?
He's not usually short of a few words. But he has fallen very silent.

I wonder why?

The media chase around in order to give Blair plenty of air time to express himself on UK politics, even though he is no longer involved, yet on his lucrative position as ME Peace Envoy they never, ever, disrupt his money-making after dinner speech circuit.

I was just about to say what Frank has - most likely on yet another round of lucrative after dinner speaking/lecturing in the US :?
